Your drinking water is not as safe as you might think. The EPA reviews a 100 chemicals over a five year period to determine if they should be added to drinking water regulations or not. This process is slow and thousands of chemicals are introduced in the US annually. Over the past 25 years only a handful of chemicals have been added to the regulated list. Even with regulations, in place there are still localized issues with regulated chemicals in drinking water.
Our in home consultation includes testing of 8 contaminants (which includes lead) and a local water report to determine if more testing is needed or what water filtration system would be best for your home.
Any products that are put on your body or your child's needs to be examined. The same goes for cleaning products used in your home. If you think about all the products you use in a day and that each product contains 5-20 ingredients, that quickly adds up to about 100 or more ingredients/chemicals a day. Do you know the chemicals you are using? How are those chemicals interacting with each other? Are they non toxic?
The EPA only bans 11 chemicals in personal care products Just because something is sold in store it does not necessarily mean it is safe. The consumer needs to be aware of what they are buying and check the labels.
We offer services to help customers review their personal care products, discuss the most toxic chemicals found, and provide possible replacements with non toxic products moving forward.
